about

"A refreshing innocence...haunting and powerful"
--All Music Guide

This is an organic recording! No electronic samples were used in the making of this record. Occasional squeaks and rubbing noises are the product of live performance. These songs were performed on a homemade instrument consisting of 24 water tuned wine glasses and brandy snifters and an old piece of plywood.

Dedicated to Terry Hinely, who will always play by my side. I hope you dig it, bro.
--Donal Hinely

Thanks to Bob Hatter for mystical guitar .enhancements on tracks 1 and 14.

Finally, there are 3 Hinely clan sound bites on track 14. The first was recorded in December of 1998 on Reg Hinely's Christmas tree farm--a piece of land in Montague County, Texas we affectionately called Tuva. The second is Kelsi Hinely's spirited attempts to sell Christmas trees by the roadside in Denton, Texas. The final sound bite is actual Christmas morning cacophony provided by Eva, Veronica, Madeleine, and Martin Vailancourt, Kelsi Hinely, and several shell-shocked adults in Denton, Texas.
